Monhegan Island Restorative Retreat

Monhegan Island, Maine ~ June 2026

Step away. Breathe deep. Come home to yourself.

Imagine a week where your mornings start with yoga and fresh ocean air, where you hike rugged coastal trails, share meals with friends who feel like family, and end the day stargazing under skies so dark you can see the Milky Way.

This is Monhegan Island — a place of artists, seabirds, and wild beauty — and in June 2026, Blaze is taking you there.

What Makes Monhegan Special

  • Artists’ haven: Home to galleries, painters, and writers for over 100 years

  • Twelve miles of world-class trails: From forests to seaside cliffs, you’ll hike it all

  • Night skies: With no light pollution, the stars feel close enough to touch

  • Great food: island-roasted coffee and the best fish sandwich you’ve ever tasted are just starters on the island

  • A strong island community: dedicated to preservation of nature, history, art, and each other

Historic Monhegan House

Housing Guests Since 1870

Perched on a hill overlooking Monhegan Harbor, the historic Monhegan House has been welcoming island visitors for more than 150 years. With 28 bright, airy rooms, the inn blends timeless New England charm with simple, comfortable accommodations. Many rooms offer sweeping views of the ocean, lighthouse, or village, while cozy common spaces and wide porches invite guests to slow down and take in the scenery.

The Monhegan House kitchen is known for its generous hospitality, deliscious food made with fresh Maine ingredients, and warm, fluffy down blankets (as the Inn has no heat or A/C). The plentiful bathrooms and showers are communal and there’s always coffee, tea, and baked goods to be had. You’ll love the inn’s relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that has made it the heart of the island for generations of travelers.
